Watercolor painting ...

As well as learning tatting, I am also teaching myself watercolor painting. Here is one of my most recent attempts. I have been painting with acrylics for over 20 years, but I am finding watercolors to be a real challenge. Due to the water content, it has a mind of its own! I am really enjoying this new medium.

Shuttle Tatted Bookmark

I have only been tatting for three weeks now. I saw an ad in the paper for a class that was being taught. Tatting was something that had always facinated me, but I never dreamed I would ever learn how to do it ... I was wrong! Here is my first completed tatting project, a bookmark. It isn't perfect, but I am so excited about having actually learned to tat! I really love learning craft techniques from long ago times.

Design Magic is a place for me to post my artistic projects. I have many interests, and express myself in many forms of hand-crafted techniques. At the present time (October 2008), I am learning to do shuttle tatting. I welcome comments and feedback.
